象徴としての沼

美しき顔を沼の面(おもて)から突出してはいるものの　
やはり、どこかありきたりな美しさ。

その首から下の隠された大部分は
おそらく醜く、不具（ふぐ）不浄（ふじょう）であろうと思われる。

なぜそこまで外面（そとづら）を取り繕うのか。

いつか沼は涸かれる。
やがて干からび、屍(しかばね)となる定め。

いやでも総身を白日(はくじつ)のもとに捨て置かれ　
堆積した内面（うちづら）の恥を晒(さら)さねばならぬ。

それは膿(う)み爛(ただ)れ腐り崩れ　

周囲に異臭まき散らし　

おぞましき虫ども　
うじゃうじゃ這いまわる棲家（すみか）ぞや。

ついには見るも無残。
ああ、その薄皮のごとき仮面もはがれ落ちん。

Swamp as a Symbol

Although the beautiful face protrudes
from the surface of the swamp,
it is still somehow ordinary beauty.

Most of the hidden below the neck is probably ugly,
chipped and unclean.
