この小川を遡ると
やがて小さな滝にぶつかる。
そこは岩々が膝を立て
今にも倒れそうな崖になっている。
崖の中腹にはススキが生え
やわらかい穂先が風にゆれている。
そして、ススキの根元の岩の割れ目から
清水が湧き出ている。
その透明な水は岩間に沿って流れ落ち
ささやかな小川が始まる。
途中の白い岩肌には
しがみつくように藻が付着している。
やや飲みにくいけれども
その水はおいしい。
こんな小さな滝なので
日照りが続けば涸れてしまう。
しかし、雨季には草笛のような音を立て
激しく吹き出ることもある。
その時、湯気のように水煙が立ち
小さな滝の手前に小さな虹が
かわいらしく架かる。

The clear water runs down the rocks
and a small stream begins.
Algae cling to the white rock surface on the way.

It's such a small waterfall,

However, in the rainy season, it makes
a whistle-like noise and may blow out violently.
At that time, steam rises like steam,
