私は国の指導者みたいな立場なのに
道を外れて涸れた川底みたいなところに降り立つ。
コンクリートのところどころに土が溜まり
さらに滝があった崖を越えると、荒れ地のようになる。
かなり下の方に寝そべる数匹の犬の姿。
昼寝しているらしいが、喉が渇いた様子。
子犬はともかく、成犬は動けないらしい。
興味は尽きないが、そろそろ戻らなければならない。
なにしろ私はこの国の指導的立場なのだから。
戻りの道は険しい。
ほとんど山の斜面のようになり、変な虫が這っている。
その風鈴のような虫が気になる。
窪みに挟まっているが、紐のようなものが伸びて
私の指に絡まろうとしている。
絡まった指を上げると、その虫が出てきそう。
その仲間らしき虫も別の虫も近くを這っている。
どうもこれは大変なことになった。
虫が湿気を奪うのか、やたら喉が渇く。

Thirst on the Riverbed
Even though I'm like a national leader,
I'm off the road and land on a riverbed.
When I cross the cliff where the concrete was filled
with soil and the waterfall was,
it became like a wasteland.
The appearance of several dogs lying down far below.
They seem to be taking a nap,
but they seem to be thirsty.
Aside from puppies, adult dogs seem to be immobile.
I'm not exhausted, but I have to come back soon.
After all, I am the leader of this country.
The way back is steep.
It's almost like a mountain slope,
with strange insects crawling on it.
I'm worried about the wind chime-like insect.
It's pinched in a dent,
but something like a string stretches out
and is about to get entangled in my fingers.
When I raise the entwined finger of it,
the bug is likely to come out.
The insect that seems to be a companion
and another insect are crawling nearby.
Apparently this was a big deal.
I'm thirsty
because the insects take away the moisture.
