どうも気がしれない、と思っていたら
我慢できなくなったのか、ついに下半身が怒った。
「上半身に宣戦布告し、下半身の独立を宣言する」
放屁しながら、さような趣旨の言葉を肛門が喋った。
「よかろう。望むところだ」
こっちこそ自分勝手な下半身にはウンザリしていたところだ。
ヘソのあたりを輪切りにする形で仮の国境線が引かれ
上下人体の分断外科手術が始まった。
近頃は、医学およびその関連技術の進歩により
想像しうることは大抵できてしまうのである。
こうして生身の上半身は人工の下半身を得る。
同じく生身の下半身は人工の上半身を得る。
ようやく上下、互いに自由が得られたわけだ。
おれは書斎でひとり、学問に集中できるようになった。
下半身は何も考えず、外で派手に遊びまわっているらしい。
相変わらず相手の気はしれないが、ともかく
じつに平和的な解決と言えよう。
Lower Body Rebellion

obtains the artificial lower body.
Similarly, the lower body of a living body
obtains an artificial upper body.
Finally, we got freedom from each other up and down.
I was able to concentrate on my studies alone in my study.
It seems that the lower half of the body is playing
around outside without thinking about anything.
I don't feel like the other person as usual,
but it can be said that it is a peaceful solution anyway.
