妙に安いな、と思いつつも借りたマンションは
どうやら事故物件だったらしい。
寝室兼用の和室には引き戸式の押入れがあり
おもに寝具を入れておくわけだが、ここに出るのである。
寝る前に閉めたはずのふすまが夜な夜な開き
中にいる何者かの眼が、外のこちらを覗くのである。
その眼と視線を合わせてしまったが最後、もう動けなくなる。
いわゆる金縛り。
まぶたを閉じることもならず、一晩中にらめっこ。
ふすまが閉まると、気を失うように眠る。
夢だったのかな、と最初は疑ったものだが
どうも記憶が生々しすぎる。
そのうち、ふすまのすき間から手が出てきた。
日を置いて、片方の手首、ひじ、腕のつけ根まで。
さらに、同じ具合に足も出てきた。
じらすように足首、ひざ小僧、太ももまで突き出された。
明らかに若い女、それもなかなかの美脚。
情けない話、こんな状況なのに、おれは興奮してしまった。
真夏に半裸の寝姿だったわけで
押入れの住人に股間の膨らみを見られたのだろう。
調子づいたのか、ついに彼女は押入れの二段目から
こちら和室の畳の上に足を下してきた。
なまめかしい浴衣姿である。
そして、それをまた、なまめかしく脱ぐのである。

身動きすることもならず、おれは思った。

Woman in Closet
The apartment I rented was apparently an accident property,
