仮に彼の名をジローと呼んでおく。
ジローはバットを旋盤のように回転させ
先から手元へと丁寧に麻紐を巻きつけている。
元野球部だった高校の同級生がピッチャー。
仮に彼の名をサブローと呼んでおく。
サブローは死球すれすれのボールを投げる。
ジローの態度に腹が立ったのだろう。
あいかわらずバットに麻紐を巻きつけながら
ジローがピッチャーマウンドへ粛々と歩む。
そして、旋盤のように回転するバットの先で
そのままサブローの二の腕を軽く突く。
同時に「なにすんだよ」とか言ったかもしれない。
あるいは「ふざけるな」だろうか。
すると、実況生中継のアナウンサーが騒ぎ出す。
「ああ、これはいけませんね」
場内騒然。
ただし、サブローは麻紐のように黙ったまま。
自作自演。
The Hemp String Bat
A famous professional baseball player is at bat.
