他の乗客ともめごとがあった、という背景はある。
どうやら暴力沙汰があったようだ。
ともかく、列車の屋根の上は勝手が違う。
まず、動力が不明。
電車にしてはパンタグラフがない。
煙は出てないから蒸気機関車でもない。
それぞれの車両は小さく、大きなベッドほど。
屋根が水枕のように凹み、なかなか快適。
ことさら眠くもないが、眠りを誘う。
雲のように景色は流れ、おれは惰眠を貪る。

On the Roof of the Train
I'm on the train.
