Crawling Monster
I thought I was on the train,
but there is no railroad track.
I ride on a toy-like vehicle for toddlers on a bank
that looks like a garbage dump.
Eventually, the vehicle changed as it deformed,
becoming an air-inflated vinyl monster.
And I crawl on the roof of the shopping street.
The roof was cut off
and I was forced to land on the sidewalk.
The eyes of high school girls looking down are cold.
While crawling, I hear rumors of a mother and child
who started a standing-eating buckwheat noodle shop
near a station named Kobiki-cho.
