目を閉じて考えながら歩いていた。
ふと、左手親指の付け根あたり
人食い人種が好むといわれる部位に感触があった。
低い位置なので子どもの顔であろうか。
目の近くの頬と接触して、くっついたまま
皮膚を肉または骨からはがしかけた感じ。
「ああ、すみません」
反射的に目を開き、振り向きざま謝る。
大したことないらしく、人影は離れてゆく。
確認できなかったが、親子連れだろうか。
とりあえず安心したが、やがて障害が出て
あとで問題になるかもしれない。
その件か、または接触の直前の話題だったか
連れの異国の男に相談する。
彼は近々、現住所から引っ越しする予定。
あの親子連れが引っ越す先の隣人でなければよいが。

Contact Anxiety
I was walking with my eyes closed and thinking.
Suddenly,
I felt a touch around the base of my left thumb,
