雀の学校

ここは教室。
ただし、生徒は成人、教師は外人。

学者然（ぜん）とした白人男性が日本語を教えている。

教科書を音読しながら頻繁（ひんぱん）に質問する。
「このミソジャケとはなんですか？」

初歩的な問いが多い。
私は挙手（きょしゅ）して返答する。

「味噌に漬けた鮭のことです」
「違います」

「では、味噌煮の鮭かな」
「いいえ」

どうもわからない。
「味噌を敷く、という意味です」

教師の背後、黒板のあるべき場所に照明がある。
その蛍光灯の上に一羽の雀がとまっている。

注意を促（うなが）すと、教師は振り返る。
と同時に、雀はどこかへ飛び去ってしまった。

Sparrow School

This is a classroom.
However, the students are adults,
and the teacher is a foreigner.

A scholarly white man is teaching Japanese.

He frequently asks questions while reading the textbook.
"What's this Misojake?"

There're many rudimentary questions.
I'll hand over and reply.

"It's about salmon pickled in miso."
"wrong."

"Well, is salmon boiled with miso?"
"No."

I don't understand.
"It means to lay down miso."

Behind the teacher, there is lighting in the place
where the blackboard should be.

A sparrow is stopping on the fluorescent lamp.

When I call attention, the teacher looks back.
At the same time, the sparrow flew away somewhere.
