いわゆるロックコンサートの会場。
おれは主催者側の人間らしい。
すでに開場され、演奏も始まっている。
ところが、主要メンバーがまだ到着していない。
不慣れな代理の男がその場を取り繕っている。
だが、観客が満足していないことは確か。
「これから、どうするんだよ？」
「彼がいなくては、どうしようもありません」
これはいけない。
なんとかしなければ、大変なことになる。
「おれがやります」
楽屋を出て、皆の前に姿を現す。
「おお、君がやってくれるかね？」
「はい、やってみます」
落ち着くために水を飲みながら
ビートルズのイエスタデイを口ずさむ。
それを舞台で歌うつもりはなかった。
私はボーカルの代理ではない。
演奏、たとえばドラムを叩くつもりだった。
なのに、すでに私の歌声が会場に流れている。
そう。なぜかイエスタデイ。
観衆の熱気、盛り上がりを肌に感じる。
よし。このピンチを切り抜けるためなら
この際、なんでもやってやろうじゃねえか。
おれは舞台の中央に進み出た。
はるさんが演じてくださった！
Somehow Yesterday
