おれは疲れていた。気分もすぐれない。
毛糸の帽子をかぶり、道端の段差に座っていた。
少し離れた場所、似た帽子をかぶった男が立っていた。
細くて長身。黒いサングラスを掛けている。
「あれは森田じゃないか。切れると危ない奴だ」
近くにいた誰かの囁き声が聞こえる。
すると、あの男がこちらに近寄ってきた。
おれのすぐ前で立ち止まり、おれを見下ろす。
「おれが森田だ。文句あるか」
男はジャックナイフ片手に因縁をつける。
「おれも森田だ。文句はない」
ハッタリだが、なかなかの切り返しだと思った。

I'm Morita
I was tired. I'm not feeling well.
I wore a woolen hat and sat on the roadside step.
A man with a similar hat stood a little away.
He is thin and tall. Wearing black sunglasses.
“Isn't he Morita?
If he runs out, he ’s a dangerous guy.”
I hear the whisper of someone nearby.
Then that man came up here.
He stops just before me and looks down on me.
"I'm Morita. Do you have any complaints?"
The man attaches to me with a jackknife in his hand.
“I am Morita too. No complaints.”
It was bluff, but I thought it was quite a switch.
