玄関ドアを開けたら、昼なのに暗い。
集合住宅の出入り口が塞がっていた。
土木工事関係の職人たちが作業している。
大規模修繕工事はもう終わったはずなのに。
どうやら庭木の一本を抜くつもりらしい。
（はて、こんな庭木、あったっけ？）
問い合わせてみる。
「何をしているんですか？」
「いえね、ずっと前に頼まれてたんだけど
やっと時間が取れて、木を抜いてるんですよ」
そんな話、まったく聞いてない。
なんにせよ、連絡なしに始めることはなかろう。
不意に問題の木がこちらへ倒れてきた。
細い幹なので片手で受け止める。
あやうく建物の壁にぶつかるところだった。
これでもプロの仕事か。
嘆かわしい。
Pull a Tree
When the entrance door is opened,
it's dark in the daytime.
The entrance of the apartment house was blocked.
Civil engineering-related craftsmen are working.
The large-scale repair work should have ended.
Apparently they are going to pull out
one of the garden trees.

“Well, I was asked a long time ago,
but I finally got time and pulled out the tree.”

The problem tree suddenly fell down here.
