山の上に住んでいる。
昨晩から大雨が降っていた。
朝になって出かけたら、下界は洪水。
見下ろす道路が川のよう。
やってられないので引き返す。
途中、下山する女に会った。
「下は洪水だよ。まともに歩ける状態じゃない」
「でも今日、大事な裁判があって
どうしても出廷しなければならないの」
裁判だって延期だと思うが、断言はできない。
説得を諦め、また山の上を目指す。
雨脚がさらに激しくなってきた。
Lower Bound Flood
I live on a mountain.
It has been raining heavily since last night.
When I went out in the morning,
the lower world was flooded.
The road overlooking was like a river.
I can't do it, so I'll turn back.
On the way,
I met a woman who went down the mountain.
"It's a flood below.
I'm not in a state where I can walk properly," I said.
"But today we have an important trial
and we have to go to court," she said.
I think the trial is postponed,
but I can't say for sure.
I give up on persuading
and aim for the top of the mountain again.
The rain legs are getting more intense.
