村のはずれも吹雪である。
石の地蔵が二つ並んで立っていた。
どちらも布を巻きつけただけの青紫の衣。
腰あたりまで積雪に埋もれている。
ふたつの地蔵はよく似ている。
なんとも言えない表情。
くぼんだ目の暗さが印象に残る。
布の巻き方の違いによるのか
右が男で、左が女のように見える。
いつまでも吹雪は続くものではない。
やがて積雪も消えて春になる。
衣は色あせ、やがて破れてしまうだろう。
石の地蔵とて、やがて割れて崩れよう。
うんざりするほどわかりきったことだ。
そんな石の地蔵が村のはずれに
仲良さそうにふたつ並んで立っている。

Stone Jizo
The outskirts of the village are also snowstorms.
Two stone Jizo stood side by side.
Both are bluish-purple batters
that are just wrapped with cloth.
They are buried in the snow up to the waist.
The two Jizo are very similar.
An indescribable expression.
The darkness of the hollow eyes is impressive.
It looks like a man on the right and a woman on the left,
probably because of the difference
in how the cloth is wrapped.
The snowstorm does not last forever.
Eventually the snow will disappear and spring will come.
The batter will fade and eventually tear.
The stone Jizo will eventually crack and collapse.
It's tediously obvious.
Two such stone Jizo stand side by side
on the outskirts of the village.
