さびしい辺境の惑星にひとり暮らし。
夜空に撒き散らされた星くず模様が
まるで部屋の壁紙のように見えるのは
孤独のために感覚が歪んでいるからだ。
にぎやかな鳥のさえずりさえ聞こえる。
きっと幻聴だろう。
この星に生き物はいないのだから。
突然、玄関のチャイムが鳴る。
勿論、ドアを開けたりはしない。
「はい、なんでしょう？」
「星くず新聞ですが」
「新聞はとりません」
「今なら、ビール券を差し上げてますが」
「新聞は読まないと決めているので」
「そうですか。失礼しました」
やれやれ。
あっさり引き下がってくれた。
いつもこれくらいなら
深刻に悩む必要もなくて、助かる。
みだりにドアを開けてしまって
もし新聞の勧誘員の姿が見えたりしたら
きっと断るのが大変だったはずだ。
Stardust Newspaper
I live alone on a lonely outlying planet.

look like wallpaper in a room
