彼らと一緒に兄も出発してしまった。
私は部外者である。
新聞を配達するつもりはない。
とりあえず店の中に入ることにする。
外れて倒れそうな出入り口の引き戸を
しっかり取り外して壁に立てかける。
アルバイトの若者が床にしゃがんで
広告チラシを次々と新聞に折り込んでいた。
ご苦労なことである。
私は新聞を購読していない。
ここの店主らしき男が近づいてきた。
彼ともう一人の共同経営者らしき男は
私の近くにあった段ボール箱に興味を持つ。
「この中を見てもいいかね？」
私と兄が持参した荷物だ。
「どうぞどうぞ」
私は期待してしまう。
私が考案した品物が入っている。
アニメキャラの衣類とか、そんなの。
店主はメガネをかけた白髪の老人。
有名なアニメ映画の監督にそっくりだ。
