ここは大きな橋の上。
大きな川が下に流れる。
私はその橋の片側の歩道を歩いていた。
そう、確かに歩いていた。
なのに、なぜか今はバスに乗っている。
どうやらこのバス、その気になれば
簡単に乗り降りできるシステムらしい。
そして私は立ったまま、バスの窓から
あたりをキョロキョロと眺める。
クルマの列が前後に延びている。
ただし、渋滞しているのでピクリとも動かない。
たくさんの歩行者の姿も見える。
彼らは車道さえ歩行者天国のように歩いている。
なんだか落ち着かない気分。
バスに乗ったのは失敗だったかもしれない。
その時である。
ふと、歩行者の一人が倒れた。
白いワイシャツの背中。
その情景が視界に入り、確認のため視線を戻すと
倒れているのは二人だった。
寄り添うような二枚の白いワイシャツ。
どうしたのだろう。
わけがわからない。
いや、二人だけではない。
いぶかしんでいるうちに次々と歩行者が倒れてゆく。
日射病などではない。
変な感じ。
まるで、まるでそう、毒ガスのような････
私はパニックに襲われる。
こんな橋の上にいてはいけない。
逃げなければ、確実に死ぬ。
私はバスを降り、走り出す。
橋を渡り終えると、商店街が続く。
やがて地下鉄の入り口が見えてきた。
地下が安全とは限らない。
が、ともかく
ここから逃げるにはそこしかない。
私は地下鉄へと続く階段を必死に駆け下りた。

This is on a big bridge.
A big river flows below.
I was walking on the sidewalk of the bridge.
Yes, I was walking.
But for some reason I'm on the bus now.
Apparently, the bus is a system
that anyone can easily get on and off if they feel like it.
And while I stand,
I look at the area from the window of the bus restlessly.
A row of cars extends back and forth.
However, because of the traffic jam,
it doesn't move at all.
I can see many pedestrians.
They even walk on the road like a pedestrian paradise.
I feel uncomfortable.
Getting on the bus may have been a failure.
That is the time.
Suddenly, one of the pedestrians collapsed.
The back of a white shirt.
When the scene came into view
and I turned my eyes back for confirmation,
there were two people who had collapsed.
Two white shirts that look like
they are snuggling up to each other.
I wonder what happened.
I do not understand.
No, not just two people.
Pedestrians fall down one after another
while I'm confused.
It's not sunstroke.
It feels weird.
It's like poisonous gas...
I get panicked.
Don't be on such a bridge.
If I don't run away, I'll definitely die.
I get off the bus and start running.
After crossing the bridge, the shopping street continues.
Eventually I saw the entrance to the subway.

I desperately ran down the stairs leading to the subway.
