古い屋敷の裏庭は林になっていた。
その奥に土蔵があり、少年と少女が監禁されていた。
少年は明かりとりの窓を見上げていた。
ただ黙って見上げていた。
窓の下では少女が本を読んでいた。
少女は読書が好きなのだった。
書物と食物には不自由しない。
毎日、番人が差し入れてくれるから。
少女は番人に話しかける。
老いた番人は縦か横に首を振るだけ。
少女は哀しくなる。
少年もほとんど返事をしてくれない。
それでも話したい事柄は山ほどあった。
だから本に話しかけたりする。
そんなある日、少女の読書を人影が邪魔をした。
見上げる少女。
「どうしたの、急に？」
見下ろす少年。
あいかわらず黙ったまま。
ただし、うっすらとあごに毛が生えていた。

and a boy and a girl were confined.
The boy was looking up at the light window.

Under the window the girl was reading her book.
She liked reading.
They are comfortable with books and food.
Every day, the guard will put them in.
The girl talks to the guard.
The old guard just shakes his head vertically
or horizontally.
The girl becomes sad.
The boy rarely responds.
Still, she had a lot to talk about.
She so she talks to books.
One day, a figure interfered with the girl's reading.
She looks up.

The boy looks down.
