電気設備安全点検の調査は
電気事業法の定めにより実施される。
法令に基づき国に登録された電気設備調査機関が
電力会社からの委託を受け、一般住宅や商店を調査する。
「電気設備の安全性については問題ありませんが
わずかですが、霊気が漏れているようです」
帽子をかぶった担当調査員の男が言う。
（こいつ、なんだ？
副業で仏壇でも売るつもりか？）
不信感あふれるおれの表情を見て、男は笑う。
「この仕事を長年やってますと、霊感が強くなるのですよ」
首から調査員証をかけたユニホーム姿の男の説明によると
電気と霊気は性質が似ているのだそうだ。
霊気が漏れる漏霊現象の痕跡は
室内にある分電盤の漏電遮断器にも表れる、と言う。
「具体的にはどのような？」
「いや。はっきりしてなくて、なんとなくなんですけどね」
ここは、なんとなく納得したフリをするしかあるまい。
「で、その漏霊があると、なにか問題あるの？」
「いや。普通の状態の普通の人には問題ありません」
おれは首をひねる。
「普通でない状態だったり、普通でない人には？」
そこで男は青ざめた。
「し、失礼しました！」
男は脚立やら道具一式を抱え、あわてて立ち去った。
（すると、どこか普通でないところがあったのかな）
おれはまた首をひねった。
あるいは、ちょっとひねり過ぎたかもしれない。

Aura Inspection Day
Surveys on electrical equipment safety inspections
will be conducted as required
by the Electricity Business Act.
An electrical equipment research organization
registered in the country based
on laws and ordinances is entrusted
by an electric power company
to survey ordinary houses and shops.
"The safety of the electrical equipment is OK,
but aura seems to be leaking, albeit slightly."
An investigator man wearing a hat says.

The man laughs at my distrustful expression.
"I've been doing this job for so many years,
and I'm inspired."
According to a man in a uniform wearing
a researcher's card around his neck,
electricity and aura have similar properties.
He says that
traces of the aura leaking phenomenon
can also be found on earth leakage breakers
on distribution boards in the room.
"What exactly is it?"
"No. It's not clear, but somehow."
Here I can only pretend to be convinced.
"So what's wrong with that aura leak?"
"No. No problem for ordinary people
in normal condition."
I put my head on one side.

So the man turned pale.

and a complete set of tools
and left in a hurry.
