本を借りようと出かけたら
あいにく図書館が消えていた。
（そうか。今日は月曜日か）
月曜日は図書館の定消日だった。
もともとは定休日だったのが
建物ごと消えるから定消日と呼ぶようになったのだ。
図書館があった場所は児童公園になっていた。
それらしいブランコや滑り台が見える。
消えた図書館の代わりに現れたわけだ。
逆に言えば、月曜日は児童公園の定現日でもある。
ただし、第二と第四月曜日だけ。
奇数番目の月曜日は鯉の泳ぐ池になる。
せっかくなので、ブランコに乗ってみた。
久しぶりなので、ちょっと怖い。
ブランコのこぎ方を思い出す。
（ああ。この揺れる感覚、懐かしいな）
空も地面も木々も町並みも
いかにもそれらしく世界が揺れ始める。

The Deceased Day
When I went out to borrow a book,
unfortunately the library had disappeared.
(I see. Is it Monday today?)
Monday was the deceased day at the library.
Originally, it was a regular holiday,
but it was called the deceased day
because the entire building disappeared.
The place where
the library used to be was turned into a children's park.
I can see such swings and slides.
It appeared in place of the missing library.
Conversely, Monday is also the designated day
for the children's park.
But only on the 2nd and 4th Mondays.
On odd-numbered Mondays, it becomes a koi pond.
Since it was a big deal, I tried to ride on the swing.
It's been a while, so I'm a little scared.
I remember how to swing a swing.
(Ah. This swaying feeling is nostalgic.)
The sky, the ground, the trees, the townscape,
the world begins to shake.
