おかしな遊びが流行っている。
先端に錘のあるヒモをグルグルまわして
他人に巻きつける遊び、というかイタズラだ。
あちこちでヒモを振りまわす姿が見える。
まったく近頃の若者ときたら。
道端のテーブル席に座っていたら
さっそくヒモが前方から胸もとにかかってきた。
巻きつかれないよう、サッとヒモを頭上へかわす。
どういうつもりなのだろう。
あまり親しくなりたくない男がやってきた。
「食事をおごってやるから来い」と言う。
「ラーメンを食べたばかりだから行かない」
おれは愛想なく返事する。
「いいから来るんだ」
無理やり連れて行かれそうになる。
あのイタズラを仕掛けるつもりだ。
そうは問屋が卸さない。
「ふざけるな。おれは絶対に行かないぞ」
暴力沙汰をも辞さないつもりである。

Dangerous Play
Weird play is popular.
It's a prank, or a play,
in which a string with a weight at the tip
is rotated and wrapped around another person.
I can see people swinging strings around.
Young people these days are not doing well.
When I was sitting at the table on the side of the road,
a string came from the front to my chest.
I quickly dodge the string overhead so that
it doesn't get caught.
What are they going to do?
A man came over who I didn't want to get close to.
He says, "Come because I'll buy you a meal."
"I just ate ramen so I won't go."
I will reply unfriendly.
"Come because it doesn't matter."
I'm about to be taken by him.
He intends to set up that prank.
The wholesaler won't sell it like that.
"Don't be silly. I'll never go."
I will not refuse violence.
