昨日まで会社を休んでいた。
今日も早退するつもりで出勤したが
どうも言い出しにくい。
体調はよろしくないが、そのうち
今日一日くらい頑張ってみるか、という気になる。
新人でもないのに初めて会う社員などもいて
同僚たちと雑談するうちに始業時間となってしまった。
取材に出かけなければならない。
まず社内にある機材を手に入れよう。
ところが、物置場へ向かっているうちに
どういう加減か、昼の休憩時刻になってしまった。
しかも物置場は食堂になっているので、つい
おいしそうなデザート入り容器を物色してしまう。
仕事をやる前に一日が終わりそうな予感。

I was absent from work until yesterday.
I am going to work today although I am going to leave early,
but I find it hard to find out.
I do not feel well,
but I feel like I'm going to do my best today for a day.
Some employees meet for the first time
even though they are not newcomers,
