校舎の廊下を歩いている。
すると、おれは学生。そんな気がする。
苦手な教師でもいたのか、立ち止まる。
そして、今来た廊下を引き返す。
丁字路を曲がり、階段を見かけたが
上ったか、または下ったかの記憶はない。
やがて広い講堂のような場所に出る。
ここは上級生が多く通るので目立ちたくない。
こっそり教室に入ると、体育の時間。
卓球の対校試合が始まっている。
転がってきたピンポン玉を素手で叩いて返す。
ところが、それはもう試合なのだった。
球が相手のテーブルまで届かなかったので
負のカウントを取られてしまった。
再び戻ってきた球を再び素手で叩いて返す。
やはり再びテーブルまで届かない。
これでは悪くなるばかりだ。
あとで担任の教師に叱られるに違いない。
ああ、いやだな。困ったな。
どうすればいいのかわからない。
ひとつも改善策が浮かばない。
ラケットが必要なことすら思い出せない。

Table Tennis Match
I am walking in the corridor of the school building.
