どこかの港の桟橋みたいなところ。
僕たちは敵味方に分かれ
集団で球技らしきゲームをして遊ぼうとしている。
しかしながら、その肝心なゲームのルールが
いまいちよくわからない。
そもそも球技にしてはボールが見当たらない。
どうやら競技者のうち特定の誰かが
仮想的にボールに相当するものになるらしい。
よくわからないままゲームは開始されてしまった。
皆と一緒にゾロゾロと階段状の岸を下りて
水着姿なのでそのまま浅瀬に入る。
ボールに相当する人物がいるあたりでは
両チーム入り交じり攻防するかのような動きがある。
ルールもそうだが、ルールがよくわからないせいか
このゲームの面白さもよくわからない。
鬼ごっことかもそうだった。
どうも子どもの頃から集団遊びは苦手だ。
ぼんやりしていたら突然
潜水する誰かの腕が僕の腰のあたりに絡みつく。
まるで人喰いザメに襲われたような感じ。
どうやら、このように潜水者にしがみつかれた者が
このボールなし球技のボールに相当させられるらしい。
手つなぎ鬼の変形みたいなものだろうか。
ともかく、腰にしがみつく謎の潜水者を従えて
僕は浅瀬を移動するしかない。
逃げているのか追っているのか
よくわからないまま。
