うちの畑は山の斜面にある。
地崩れしそうなひびがあちこち入っている。
僕がちょっと目を離した隙に
彼は畑の境界に木材で柵を作ってくれた。
というか、ベランダみたいだ。
なかなか素敵なでき栄え。
なぜか近所のおばさんもそこにいる。
「まあ、きれい。羨ましいわ」
お昼になって帰宅することになった。
頼もしい彼の後姿を見ながら
大工の棟梁になりたいような気持になっていた。
