実家に親類が集まっている。
法事に違いない。
老いの目立ち始めたいとこたちの姿がある。
父方の祖母まで来ている。
父は末っ子で、養子だった母の入り婿。
義理の祖父母に実子はいない。
父の実家である近所の伯父の家に祖母はいた。
父方の祖父を見た記憶はない。
で、その祖母は自分が幼い頃に亡くなって久しい。
なので、今頃になって姿を現わすのは変だ。
おそらく、これは母の法事だろう。
祖母にとっては息子の嫁に当たる人なので
なんとなく出席したくなったのかもしれない。
それなのに、孫に当たる私は別段不思議とも思わず
これから服を着替えて出かけようとしている。
行く先も漠然として、よくわからないまま。

Grandmother's Visit
Relatives are gathering in parents' house.

a mother's son-in-law who was adopted.
My grandparents in law do not have children.
My grandmother was at my neighbor's uncle's house,
my father's home.
I have no memory of seeing my paternal grandfather.

For my grandmother, it is a son's daughter's wife,
