野菜のカブをスライスする機械がある。
その名前がなぜか「コータロー」なのだった。
そのコータローを使い、体育館の中で
生徒かパートさんらしき女たちと一緒に作業をしている。
カブではなく、なぜかダンベルを加工している。
ともかく、カブは途中から消えてしまった。
コータローには補助装置として空気を送るポンプが必要。
組み合わせてダンベルに加工を施す。
途中が省略され、洗浄または塗装をしただけなのか
スライスされてないダンベルを次々と鉄カゴに入れる。
未加工のダンベルは残り少なくなった。
「終わるのは昼過ぎになる、とか言ってたのにね」
壁の掛け時計に目をやると、12時10分前。
もうポンプを片づけ始めようとしている。
意外に早く終わりそうだが、本当に大丈夫か。
すべて正しく作業はなされたのか。
片づけつつあるポンプを戻したい気がしないこともない。
