就職したばかりの会社の寮に泊まる。
その翌朝、出社初日なのに寝坊してしまった。
あわてて起床、あわてて着替える。
そこへ会社のお偉いさんが登場。
会長と、本日付で退職する役員であろうか。
なんとなく会話の内容から推測する。
その時、火災が発生。
脱ぎ捨てた服を電気ストーブの上に置いたらしい。
まだお偉いさんたちの会話は続いている。
気づかれないうちに消火したい。
とりあえず、燃える服を持ち上げる。
電気ストーブは無残に熔けている。
飛び火もしている。
小さな炎があちこちでメラメラ。
「これはこれは、なかなか大変ではないかな」
さすがに気づかれてしまった。
「すみません。まことに申しわけありません」
謝りながら必死に消火活動を続ける。
なのに、ちっとも火は消えてくれないのだった。

Employment on Fire
I will stay in a dormitory of a company I just got a job.

I threw away on the electric stove.
The executives' conversation is still going on.
I want to extinguish it before I notice them.
For now, I will lift burning clothes.
The electric stove is patheticly molten.
It also fires.
A small flame is burning here and there.
"This is hard work, is not it?"
Apparently they have noticed.
"I'm sorry, I am sorry."
I apologize and continue desperately trying to extinguish fire.
But, the fire did not disappear at all.
