川に沿って土手を自転車で走る。
ここの沿岸補修工事を請け負っていた。
どのように土手を削ろうか、などと考えながら
やや遠方にあるコンビニまで買い物。
ライバルの男と競走していたはずだが
男はいつの間にかフェードアウトしていた。
さっき別れたばかりの連れ合いの女が
オートバイに乗り、店の前に現れた。
買い物はどちらか一方で済むわけだから
あきらかに不要な二度手間。
「あんた、なにやってんのよ」
「ふん。そっちこそ」
おれたちはちょっと怒ったふりをする。
Bank Construction
I ride a bicycle along the bank along the river.
