サピアの流れ

遥(はる)か遠い見知らぬ土地に　
サピアという名の川がある。

そこにはイメージとか印象とか　
いわゆる想念のようなものが流れている。

その水をすくって飲めば　
心乱れ　

身を浸(ひた)せば　
鱗(うろこ)生え、魚になる。

サピアの流れは雄大で　

蛇行(だこう)を繰り返し　
段丘を築き　

そこここに三日月湖を残す。

橋はない。
いくら架けても流されてしまうゆえ。

この川を遡(さかのぼ)れば　

やがて君は　
サピアという名の乙女に辿(たど)り着く。

つまり、サピアの流れは　

ひとりの乙女の涙が　
その源流なり。

The Flow of Sapir

There is a river named Sapir on a strange land far away.

There are things like images and impressions,
so-called thoughts.

If you scoop and drink that water, you will be disturbed,
if you soak your body you will grow scaly and become fish.

The flow of Sapir is majestic, repeating meandering,
building a terraced hill, leaving a crescent moon there.

There is no bridge.
Because it will be swept no matter how much it is crossed.

Back in the river,
eventually you reach the girl named Sapir.

In other words,
the flow of Sapir is the origin of one girl's tears.
