それはあまり駅舎らしくなかった。
いかにもな階段はあるのだが
「網の坂」とでも呼ぶべきものであって
大きなクモの巣を連想させる銀色の網が
登れとばかりに斜めに張られてあるばかり。
ラッシュアワーにおける通勤と通学の人々が
それにへばりついて登っている。
この網の坂の途中に狭い門のような場所がある。
せいぜい二人しか通れそうもないのに
我も我もと大勢で通り抜けようとしている。
また、不意に左右に裂けていたり
意味もなく複雑に絡まっていたりもしている。
あまり人通りのなさそうな部分には
本当にクモの巣が張られていたりもする。
そんなまさにクモの巣のような坂を
まさにクモのように這う女たちは
スカートの乱れが気になるのか
その裾を片手でしっかり押さえている。
いつもながら不思議に思う。
どうせ毎回のことなんだから
スカートなんか穿いて来なければいいのに。
女のスカートの丈が短くなるほど
すぐ下に続く男どもの密度が高まるのも
なんともあさましい姿である。
とにかく、みんな急いでいる。
急がなければいけないような気もする。
だから登り続けることにためらいはない。
苦労して斜め上を見上げる。
靴と脚と尻が蠢いているのは見えるが
電車のホームはまだ見えない。

Net Slope

like a spider hold their skirt firmly

It is a shameful figure that the density of the men
who immediately follow increases
as the skirt length of the woman becomes shorter.
