教師も同級生も誰ひとり気にしない。
学校で勉強しなければならない理由が
どうしても少年にはわからなかった。
自分自身の将来のためだ、と教師は言う。
立派な大人になるためだ、と。
だけど、少年は思う。
将来、こんな自分が大人になったって
誰ひとり喜ばないだろう、と。
その事実を認めても
平静でいられるようにするのが
学校教育なのだ、と。
