滑って転ばぬように注意が必要だった。
帰り道をまちがえたような気がしてきた。
いくら歩いても家が見つからないのだ。
ふと、これは夢ではないかと思った。
じつにくだらない思いつきだった。
そんな冗談みたいなこと、あるはずがない。
なにしろ、こんなにリアルなのだから。
記憶だってクリアだ。
夢のはずがない。
それでも、戯れに意識を集中させてみた。
すると、目の前の視界が崩れ始めた。
驚いた。
本当に夢だったのだ。
絶対に夢ではない、と確信していたのに
闇の中、仰向けに寝ている自分がいた。
体がまったく動かない。
まぶたも開かない。
いわゆる金縛りの状態なのだった。
何者かに捕らわれているような感覚。
必死に叫ぼうとするが、喉が動かない。
かすかにもれる声は言葉にならない。
わけがわからない。
頭がパニック。
どうなったんだ。
どうなってしまうんだ。
しばらくして、ようやく呪縛が解ける。
跳ね起きた。
全身、もう汗びっしょり。

Sleep paralysis
I was walking alone on the slope of the mountain.
