「なぜ宇宙はあるのですか？」
「神様が創造したのさ」
「では、なぜ神様はいるのですか？」
「神様の神様が創造したのさ」
そもそも存在するものの存在理由など存在するのだろうか。
仮に、まったく何も存在しないとすれば、当然ながら
「なぜ何も存在しないのか」などと問う者も存在しない。
しかしながら、存在するものの存在理由を求めるとすれば
このまったくの非存在から導かれなければならないはずである。
でなければ、ほんのわずかにせよ何事か存在することになり
さらにその存在理由を問わねばならなくなるから。
従って、存在するものの存在理由を求めるとすれば
どんな理由も存在しないはずの非存在から
存在理由を導かねばならない。
つまり、すでに矛盾している。
矛盾した問いに対しては神様であろうと答えられるはずもない。
どうやら存在するものの存在理由など
どこにもなさそうである。
いくら死体を解剖しても「死」が見つからないように。
あるいは、いくら恋人を責めても「恋」が抽出できないように。
なので、こと「存在」に関しては
どうも因果律が破綻しているように思える。
せいぜい我々は、我々が我々であるから我々であるように
こうして現に存在しているのだから存在する
としか言えないのではなかろうか。
もし反論あるとしても、次の瞬間
パッと消えてしまわないとも限らないのだから。
Reason for Existence
"Why is there a universe?"
"God created it."
"Then, why is there a god?"
"It was created by the god of God."
Is there a reason for the existence of something
that exists in the first place?
If nothing exists at all, of course,
no one asks, "Why does nothing exist?"
However, if one wants to find the reason
for the existence of something that exists,
it must be derived from this complete non-existence.
If not, something will exist, even if only a little,
and we will have to ask why it exists.
Therefore, if we want to find the reason
for the existence of something that exists,
we must derive the reason for existence
from the non-existence that should not exist
for any reason.
In other words, it is already inconsistent.
There is no way that
God can answer the contradictory questions.
Apparently there is no reason
for the existence of something that exists.
No matter how much you dissect the corpse,
you shouldn't find "death."
Or, no matter how much you blame your lover,
you can't extract "love."
Therefore, it seems that the causality is broken
when it comes to "existence."
At best, we can only say that we exist
because we exist in reality,
just as we are because we are us.
Even if there is a counterargument, the next moment,
everything may disappear.
