送別会があり、酒場で盛り上がった。
その帰りに同僚だった女性の家に寄ったところ
カセットテープをプレゼントされた。
帰宅して、ラジカセにセットする。
酔っていたせいかボタンを押し間違えた。
ラジオの女性アナウンサーが明るく喋り始める。
「明日は雨が降らなかったり
降りもしないくせに降ったフリをするくらいでしょう」
なんだ、これは？
酔っ払いを馬鹿にしとるのか？
しばらくして、やっと誤操作に気づく。
ともかく彼女の歌声は甘酸っぱくて素敵だ。
最後の「女友だち」という曲は特別に気に入った。
羨ましがっているうちに夜が明け
隣に住んでる奥さんと並んで道を歩いている。
途中、元同級生の女の子の姿が目に入る。
そっと近寄り、肩を叩いて声をかける。
「すごかったね」
ところが、彼女は振り向きもしない。
「知りません」
なるほど、横から見たら別人であった。
あわてて隣の奥さんに言い訳をする。
「知り合いの女の子が歌手デビューしてね、
その子の友だちに似ていたんだ」
すると、背後から遊び仲間の女性が現れた。
「それ、ホント？」
いまさら嘘とも言えず、うなずく。
別の友だちの話になる。
「知ってる？ 彼女、結婚するんだって」
彼女に恋人がいることは知っていたので
べつに驚くような話題でもないのに、などと思う。

There was a farewell party
and we got excited at the bar.
On my way home,
I stopped by my colleague's house
and she gave me a cassette tape.
I came home and set it on my boombox.
I pressed the wrong button probably
because I was drunk.
The female announcer
on the radio begins to speak brightly.
"Tomorrow's weather will either be rainless
or pretend to have fallen without rain."

Are you kidding me drunk?
After a while,
I finally notice an erroneous operation.
Anyway, her singing voice is sweet and sour and nice.
I really liked the last song, "My Girlfriend."
At dawn while I was envied,
I was walking alongside the housewife
who lives next door.
On the way, I see my former classmate girl.
I gently approach and tap her shoulder and call out.
