僕たちはとあるイベントで出会った。
女ひとりと男ふたり。
名所旧跡の観光旅行であったか、または
暴走族の集会であったかもしれない。
ともかく僕たちはすぐに仲良くなった。
それ以降も待ち合わせては
一台のクルマに乗ってドライブを楽しむ。
彼女はとても快活で、なかなか大胆なことをする。
僕たちは楽しくて、充実していた。
彼女は彼と恋人になりたがっている。
なんとなく僕はそんなふうに感じていた。
それは全員の共通意識ではなかったか、とも思う。
でも、なぜか彼女はそうなることを避けている。
よくわからないが、理由があるらしい。
そんなある夜、彼女がある男を救う。
その男、じつはまともな人間ではなかった。
なんというか、幽霊みたいな存在。
浮遊霊とでも呼ぶのだろうか。
成仏できずに、あちらこちらさまよう。
それで、僕は気づく。
彼女は、僕が幽霊だと知っているのではないか。
あるいは、彼女も幽霊なのではないか。

A Cheerful Woman
We met at an event.
One woman and two men.
It may have been a sightseeing trip to a historic site,
or a rally of runaway tribes.
Anyway, we soon became friends.
After that, we will meet and enjoy driving in one car.
She is very cheerful and does something bold.
We were fun and fulfilling.
She wants to be a lover with him.
