さっきまでふぶいていた。
まさにすさまじい吹雪だった。
激しくて、冷たくて、死にそうだった。
でも、今はもう穏やかで暖かい。
さっきまでの苦痛が嘘のようだ。
冬山の天候は変わりやすい。
ようやく前進することができる。
いままで吹雪のために動けなかったのだ。
だけど、なんだか眠くなってきた。
そういえば、ほとんど眠っていないのだ。
ここまで随分がんばってきたから。
少し休んだ方がいいかもしれない。
そうだ。少しだけ休もう。
ああ、気持ちいい。
暖かくて頬に気持ちいい。
こんなに雪が暖かいとは知らなかった。
風もなんだか暖かい。
雪が混じっているからだな。
いや、待てよ。
雪混じりの風なら吹雪ではないか。
そうか。まだ吹雪はやんでなかったのか。
そのかわり暖かくなっていたんだ。
なるほど。そうだったんだ。
どうして気がつかなかったんだろう。
ああ、やっぱり疲れているんだな。
もう少し暖まったら立ち上がろう。
立ち上がったら頂上を目指すんだ。
それまで体を休ませておこう。

Snowstorm Rest
It was snowing until a while ago.
It was a terrible snowstorm.
It was intense, cold, and almost dead.
But now it's mild and warm.
