計算、ことに暗算が苦手だ。
暗算の途中で、計算中の数字を忘れてしまう。
「御破算で願いましては」と言われる前に
頭の中のそろばん珠が勝手に零の状態に戻ってしまうわけだ。
たびたび暗算を実演してもらったが、確かにすごい。
ところが、珠算検定試験には十段まであるという。
十段になるには、得点が三段の倍も必要になる。
上には上があるものだ。
それにしても、いつも思うのだが
こうして書き出しながら
あっち直したりこっち改めたりではなく
最初から最後まで頭の中だけで
きちんと話をまとめられないものだろうか。

Start Afresh
I do not like calculation, especially mental arithmetic.
I forget the number under calculation
during mental arithmetic.
Before being called "Ready; start afresh," the abacus
in my head will return to zero state without permission.
A colleague of a company I used to work in
was a 3rd dan license in shuzan.
I often had the mental arithmetic demonstrated,
but it certainly was amazing.
However, the shuzan exam is said to be up to 10th dan.
In order to be 10th dan,
the score must be double the 3rd dan.
There is a top on the top.
Even so, I always think that, as I write out,
I will not be able to organize my sentences properly
in my head from the beginning to the end,
instead of repairing or modifying it.
