いやー、なんと言うか
とりあえずやってみるものである。
「美人秘書、大募集！」
そんな冗談みたいな広告を管理サイトに載せたところ
応募があった。
私は数年前に会社を退職した初老の独身男。
貯金を喰い潰しながら静かに隠居生活をしている。
このまま質素に暮らしてさえいれば
あまり苦労せず自然に往生できそうである。
しかしながら
美人秘書を雇うのは私の長年の夢だったのだ。
さらに言えば、その秘書といけない関係になるのも夢だ。
日時を決め、ちゃんと自宅マンションで面接をした。
じつは応募者は、同じ市に住む若い女性。
スーパーかどこかで見かけたような記憶がないこともない。
「一度、秘書という仕事をしてみたかったんです」
美人でもあり、利害が一致したわけだ。
大して支払えないが、１ヶ月間の契約をする。
それらしい契約書も交わした。
ところが、秘書としての彼女の仕事がない。
ブログの打ち込みは自分の趣味だから、奪われたくない。
家政婦を雇ったわけではないので
食事の用意や部屋の掃除をしてもらうわけにもいかない。
相談の結果、私が趣味で制作する諸々の作品を使って
なんとか利益が出せないものか
彼女に検討してもらうことなった。
ほとんど在宅勤務秘書である。
大抵はブログのコメントやメールのやり取りで済んでしまう。
やがて、来訪してくれた秘書から企画書を受け取った。
やはり身近にいないと秘書らしくないからな。
かなり昔に私が描いた絵を使って
通販サイトでデザインTシャツを売りたいという。
原画のままでは版下として使えないそうなので
秘書に言われるまま
スキャンして汚れを消すなど修正してデータを作る。
続いて、トートバッグやiPhoneケースのデザインも
同様に頼まれた。
それから、公募コンクールに出すからと
作曲の依頼を受ける。
苦労して自前の短い器楽曲を長いものに編曲し、
MIDIデータとして渡す。
さらに、こちらは世界規模だが、やはり公募コンクール。
あるテーマでの短いスライドショー動画の制作依頼。
たまたまテーマにぴったりな写真が多数あったので
すぐに完成。
自信あるピアノ即興曲をBGMに使う。
ひょっとしたら見込みあるかも。
新作のショートショートや詩なんかも
雑誌の公募に投稿するからブログでは公開しないでくれ
と言われる始末。
さすがに体力的に疲れてきた。
だが、充実感と呼べるものも少なからずある。
まだ成果と呼べるほどのものはないが
そろそろ契約の更新をするかしないか
決めねばならない時期だ。
さて、どうしたものか。
うーん、悩ましい。
じつに悩ましいところだ。
まあ、とりあえずは、秘書に相談だな。

Hire a Secretary

on the management site,

I am an old single man
who left the company a few years ago.

to hire a beautiful secretary.

and had an interview at my home apartment.
Actually, the applicant is a young woman
living in the same city.
Maybe I remember seeing her somewhere
in the supermarket.
“Once I wanted to work as a secretary.”
She is also a beautiful woman,
and we have a common interest.
I can't pay much,
but we have a one month contract.
We also signed a proper contract.
However, there is no her job as a secretary.
I don't want to be robbed
because blogging is my hobby.
I haven't hired a housekeeper,
so I can't help her prepare food
and clean my room.
As a result of the consultation,
I asked her to consider whether
it would be possible to make a profit using
the various works that I make as a hobby.
She is mostly a secretary working from home.
Most of the time, it's all done
with blog comments and emails.
Eventually, I received a proposal
from the secretary who visited me.

unless she was close to me.
She says she wants to sell design T-shirts
on a mail-order site,
using a picture I drew long ago.
It seems that
the original picture cannot be used as a block copy,
so I will make data by scanning it as it is told
by the secretary and removing stains.
Subsequently,
she asked for the design of the tote bag
and iPhone case as well.
Then, I receive a request for composition,
because she will submit it to the open competition.
I struggle to arrange my own short instrumental music
into long ones and pass them as MIDI data.
Furthermore, although this is a global scale,
it is still an open competition.
Request to produce a short slide show video
with a certain theme.
It happened to be a lot of photos
that were perfect for the theme,
so it was completed immediately.
I use confident piano improvisations
as background music.
It may be possible.
She also tells me not to post new short shorts
and poems on the blog
because they will be posted to the magazine.
As expected, I became physically tired.
However, there are many things
that can be called a sense of fulfillment.
There's nothing to say about the outcome yet,
but it's about time for me to decide
whether to renew my contract with her.
Now what?
Well, it's annoying.
It's really annoying.
Well, for the time being, consult my secretary.
