市立図書館の分館へ行く途中、
無数の鯉のぼりが地元の川をさかのぼっていた。
川下も川上も、遠く見えなくなるまで
どこまでも錦鯉の群が続いていた。
端午の節句が近いからではあるけれども
いやはや、ご苦労なことである。
いかにも川をさかのぼっているかのように見えるが
実際には、いつまでも同じ場所ではためいているだけ。
まあ、わからぬでもない。
本当のことを言ってつまらなければ
噓をつきたくなるのが人情である。

Carp Streamer
On the way to the annex of the municipal library,
many carp streamers traced the local river.
A group of colored carp continued forever
until it became invisible,
both downstream and upstream.
Even though Boy's Day is near, it's still a pain.
They look as if they were going up the river,
but in fact they are just fluttering
in the same place forever.
Well, I understand the feeling.
If it is boring to say the truth, it is humanity
that makes me want to say something.
