Sleepy Awakening
Even though it's dawning, it smells like rotting blood.
I wonder if I had a nosebleed while sleeping again.
Or maybe a dripping nosebleed is sleeping.
Rolling red blood cells and white blood cells, the narrow,
short river of blood is crawling on a dirty sickbed,
trying to wash away the pieces of the sore nose.
But when I have low blood pressure, all I can do is sit
on the bank of the cotton sheets piled together
and stare vaguely in a different direction
through the poppy flowers of a distant country.
Oh, where am I?
I'm just sinking
to the bottom of the sluggish stagnation.
I don't even have the strength to think.
