The Body Disappears
I bought a puppet at a thrift shop,
borrowed unreadable books from the library,
and went home.
I feel tired and sleep a little
even though I don't feel sleepy.
I wake up after a while,
but my head isn't clear.
I put hot water in the bath and take a bath
without turning on the light in the bathroom.
I wash my hair without detergent
while taking a shower.
I think vaguely in the dark with my eyes closed.
Then, my body disappeared.
The expression is strange,
but I felt that washing my body in this way
was the same as washing the bathtub
before the bath.
Of course there is a feeling.
However, it is just a feeling.
There is no body
as a consciousness of being oneself.
So to speak, it's the same as the puppet
I manipulate with thread.
It just happens that I can feel the puppet.
And, for some reason, my body has disappeared,
including the fingers of the hand
that manipulates the thread of the puppet.
