夜中に帰宅することになった。
今の自宅ではなく、田舎の実家である。
だが、玄関の鍵を持ってない。
老母はどこかへ出かけているはず。
学校まで鍵を受け取りに行かねばならない。
なぜかそのように思い込んでいる。
ところが実家に着いてみると
ちゃんと家の中に灯りがついていた。
玄関のドアも施錠されてない。
奥には兄の横顔も見える。
「ああ、よかった」
されど、それだけ。
あえて記録する意義もなさそうな話だ。

House Key
I was supposed to go home in the middle of the night.
It's not my current home, but my parents' home in the country.
But I don't have the front door key.
My old mother should have gone somewhere.
I have to go to school to pick up the keys.
For some reason I think so.
However, when I arrived at my parents' house, the lights were on properly inside the house.
The front door is also unlocked.
I can see my brother's profile in the back.
"Oh, I'm glad"
But that's it.
