差出人不明の妙なハガキが届いた。
文面からすると、知り合いのようである。
ところどころ読めない部分がある。
どうも暗号のようだ。
しばらくして友人から電話があった。
やはり同じようなハガキが届いたという。
「誰からだと思う？」
「おそらく、あいつだろうな」
二番目に就職した会社の先輩ではなかろうか。
優秀な営業マンだったが、酒席で客を殴ってしまい、
我々の企画部に配置転換させられた男。
社内旅行では俺と碁ばかり打ち、皆の
先に退職して、再婚して若い嫁を貰ったとか。
以来、噂も聞かず、すっかり忘れていた。
で、その暗号についての解釈を電話相手に
説明しているところで、接続が切れてしまった。

Cipher Postcard
A strange postcard with an unknown sender arrived.
From the sentence,
it seems to have come from acquaintance.
I can not read parts at all.
It looks like encryption.
After a while my friend called me.
A similar postcard has arrived, he says.
"Who do you think it is from?"
"Perhaps, that person,"
Is not it seniors of the company
that got the second job?
He was an excellent salesperson,
but he was beaten the guest at the drinking-bowl
and was transferred to our planning department.
On company trip, he just did go with me,
displeased from everyone.
He retired earlier than me,
he remarried and got a young bride.
Since then, I have not heard any rumor,
I completely forgotten.
So, I explained the interpretation of the cipher,
and the telephone connection has run out.
