「変な本を読んでいるんじゃないだろうな」
冗談めかして声をかける。
「あら、ごく普通の本よ」
なるほど、隙間の多い本棚には
立派な装丁の夏目漱石全集くらいしかない。
物音したので二階へ上がってみる。
脳卒中の親を世話する息子さんが座っている。
不幸を背負ったような、その表情。
「あなたは独りで幸せですね」
「まあね。ちょっとさびしくはあるけどね」
一応、幸せばかりではない、と装う。
部屋を出ると、ボウリング場。
ボウリングの球でビリヤードをしている。
それに参加したら優勝したみたいで
賞品の二頭の虎の子が両腕にじゃれつく。
さて、大変にかわいらしいんだが
これはどうも世話が大変だな。
