地下室で仕事をしている。
ちょっと前まで使っていた地下室は
ただでさえ狭い上、余計な物が多かった。
今度の地下室は広いだけでなく、まったく物がない。
物がないから夢がある、と言えなくもない。
そうこうするうちデスクやら器具も増え
いかにもオフィスらしくなってきた。
今は新米の女性社員とふたりっきり。
席を並べ、それぞれ別の仕事をしている。
他の社員は出かけているらしい。
「もう遅いから、帰っていいよ」
「いえ、平気です。まだやることあるので」
昔のワープロみたいなパソコンで、どちらも
データ入力みたいな作業を続けている。
いつまで待っても誰ひとり戻って来ない。
私もそうだが、さすがに彼女も疲れた様子。
「さすがに帰っていいよ」
「大丈夫ですかね？」
「うん。もうこんな時間だもん」
しかしながら、時計は見当たらず
現在の正確な時刻はわからないのだった。

Overtime Work at the Basement
I am working in the basement.
The basement which
I had been using a while ago was narrow,
and there were many extra things.
This time the basement is not only wide,
there is nothing at all.

there is a dream because there is nothing.

We arrange seats and do different work for each.
