確認調査に行かなければならないようだ。
とんでもない、と思う。
「そんなの、おれがついでにやっておくよ」
母は断るが、足の悪い老人にやらせる仕事ではない。
「おれが旅の途中に寄るから、大丈夫だって」
地図の空白を地名で埋め、住人に挨拶するだけだ。
人付き合いは苦手だが、そのくらいはできる。
亡くなった母に今さらではあるけれど。

Not on the Map
My mother explains while showing a map.
"Here is Yanagisawa, this is Noborizuka."
She seems to be an official of a town meeting or something.
In that role, she seems to have to go
to a confirmation survey in the mountains,
which is not on the map.
I do not think so.
"I'm going to finish with such a thing."
My mother refuses,
but it is not a job to let old woman of bad legs do.
"Because I will be on my way, it's okay."
Just fill the blank space on the map
with place names and greet the inhabitants.
I am not good at communicating, but I can do that much.
Although it is now for my deceased mother.
