駅のホームで電車の到着を待っている。
だが、いくら待てども到着しない。
到着を予告するアナウンスもない。
遅れを詫びるアナウンスもない。
まったく到着する気配がない。
待つ人たちのほとんどはベンチに腰かけている。
そのまま死んでいるかのように静かだ。
ベンチの上と前に折れて隙間なく並んだ脚の列は
どれも揃えたような黒いズボン。
ちょっと怖いほど整然としている。
まるで一回り大きくなったベンチのようだ。
私は諦め、駅のホームから続く教室へ戻る。
駅ビルが校舎なのだ。
教室では試験が始まっていた。
これはいけない。
そうとは知らずに帰るところだった。
自分の席に戻り、テスト用紙に目を通す。
ひとつも問題が理解できない。
やがて終了を知らせるチャイムが鳴る。
なにも書けなかった。
テスト用紙の回収が始まった。
0点とは初めての経験。
担当官に言い訳をしたものか、ちと迷う。

Train Not Arriving
I am waiting for train arrival at the station home.
But no matter how much I wait, it will not arrive.
There is no announcement to predict arrival.
There is no announcement to apologize for the delay.
I do not feel like arriving at all.
Most of the people waiting are sitting on the bench.
They are quiet as if they are dead.
On the bench and before,
the row of legs bent side by side without gaps
is like black trousers with all of them aligned.
A bit scary the order is neither.
It looks like a bench that got a little bigger.
I give up and I will return to the classroom
from the station home.
The station is a school building.
The examination began in the classroom.
That's no good.
I was about to return without knowing so.
I return to my seat and look over the test paper.
One can not understand the problem.
The chime that will inform us of the end soon will sound.
I could not write anything.
Collection of test paper began.
0 point is the first experience.
I get lost a little whether I made an excuse for an officer.
