総合病院のような大きな施設にて
おっさんと一緒に清掃作業をしていた。
だが、それは昔の話。
今、おっさんはアルバイトの若者と作業中。
若者は毛布を使っている。
おれの時は寝袋だった。
たくさんのサンダルがある。
黒っぽい。水没しそうになっている。
それを履く。
当然のように足の裏が濡れてしまった。
施設は性別で区分されている。
男は右、女は左。
右の手洗いの部屋に女がいたので驚く。
「ほらね、やっぱりそうだよ」
彼女は窓越しにおっさんとお喋りしてる。
とりとめもない。
Cleaner the Old Man
At a big facility like a general hospital
I was cleaning up with the old man.
But that is an old story.
Now, the old man is working
with the young man working part-time.
The young man uses blankets.
I used sleeping bags in my case.
There are plenty of sandals.
They are dark and are about to submerge.
I will try putting it on.
As a matter of course the back of my foot got wet.
The facility is classified by gender.
The man is right, the woman is left.
I was surprised because there was a woman
in the room of the right washroom.
"Hey, that's true."
She talks to the old man across the window.
